St James' Church is a member of the world wide Anglican Communion and part of the Episcopal Diocese of Aberdeen
and Orkney. The church is situated at the corner of Union Street and Holburn Street. Services are held 10.30 am and 12.30
pm every Sunday and 10 am Wednesdays. The 10.30 service on Sundays is followed by Tea and Coffee where there is a chance for
a friendly chat. The 12.30 service is a modern eucharist held in an informal atmosphere with opportunity for those participating
to engage in discussion as well as worship.
The church is equipped with a modern sound-system with a hearing loop. There are movable ramps for disabled access.
St James's has a pipe organ and a small choir of mixed voices who lead the regular Sunday worship.
The staff of the Church includes the Revd Max Paterson, Priest in Charge, Dr Ruth Edwards, Assistant Priest, and Dr James
Mason, Lay Reader.
The church is a Charity registered in Scotland No.SC016174. It is also a registered 'Fair Trade
Church' The church has an active branch of the Mothers Union.
